GIORGETTI UNVEALS ITS NEW PENTHOUSE IN MANHATTAN

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Giorgetti is expanding its international presence with several new showrooms that offer a complete immersion into the world of Giorgetti and an opportunity to experience the Group’s unique approach to design.

Weeks after inaugurating an innovative showroom concept in Milan with “Giorgetti Spiga – The Place”, Giorgetti turns its attention to the heart of the Big Apple. During NYCxDesign–the most important US event dedicated to design running from May 18th to 25th–Giorgetti unveils a spectacular new 11,000 square feet Penthouse Atelier in the heart of Manhattan.

A vibrant, pulsating metropolis where everything happens, New York represents a major milestone for Giorgetti. This new monobrand will join those already existing in Boston, Houston and Los Angeles, and, in 2023, will be joined by two more opening in Miami and Washington DC. This significant expansion brings to fruition an important development strategy for the North American market, which has proven itself to be extremely receptive to the high quality of Made in Italy design.

“In recent years we’ve decided to invest in spaces that allow us to communicate to the market the enormous capabilities of ‘using Giorgetti’: the creation of products that combine beauty and functionality – the result of unyielding research on finishes, shapes and colours – as an essential tool to deliver the design and creation of 360° interior proposals. New York is the epicenter of art and creation: culinary and shopping capital, cradle of fashion and trends, New York has something irresistible for everyone. Opening in one of the most important cities in the USA, and the world, is not only a fundamental step on our path of international growth, but it is the natural answer to our desire to intercept and influence new trends and ideas.” Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO Gruppo Giorgetti

“The Group’s American mission is to communicate the company’s know-how in the management of projects at any scale, hospitality or residential, while conveying the ‘Giorgetti style’ which represents centuries of tradition and craftsmanship, a culture of manufacturing and design identity. Through these strengths, we intend to consolidate our market positioning.” Moreno Vitaloni, CEO Giorgetti USA

Giorgetti opens its new space in Milan in March 2023
Uniting memory and its vision for the future, the Giorgetti Group is celebrating its 125th anniversary by setting out on a new adventure in one of the most sophisticated neighbourhoods of Milan, at 31 Via della Spiga.

Giorgetti Spiga is The Place, the new house of Giorgetti where, in-line with the development strategy that it adopted some time ago, the brand is expressed at the highest level in all facets of customised design: from sartorial details on products to near-obsessive interior design.
The Place is also a space for design experience and research in the broadest sense of the terms, through interference with art, music, food and, more generally, with everything that contributes to an experience linked to beauty: this is the best gift we could give ourselves to celebrate our one hundred and twenty-fifth birthday.”

Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO of the Giorgetti Group

Giorgetti Spiga – The Place is the outcome of the overarching project by Giancarlo Bosio, who curated every last detail: nothing was left to chance, no matter how small or large. From the unique finish of the marble that covers the stairs, to the millwork, and even the floors which combine stone, marble and custom-made parquet, a tribute to the carpentry traditions of the brand and invaluable heritage.

A project that demonstrates the ability of the Group to go beyond designing single objects, expanding to the entire context, thinking about and designing the space.

It’s a mission that is recounted through a sensory experience in the Giorgetti world, in a place where the company articulates its design culture through various inhabited areas, surrounded by beauty and art, with pieces from Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery and Brun Fine Art & Antiques Gallery.

Giorgetti wins wallpaper design awards

Characterised by a leather frame that gently folds and unfolds like a ribbon, defining the perimeter design, the Shirleymirror interprets one of the fundamentals of design: form is at the service of function and vice versa.

Its soft, sinuous lines were chosen because they fit naturally into the space, creating a cosy, intimate atmosphere and interpreting a vision of the home as a personal refuge, a concept that has increasingly permeated the domestic environment in recent years.

Fuorisalone 2021: Giorgetti opens its Milanese spaces to the public

From 4 to 19 September, the spaces in the city recount Giorgetti lifestyle, presenting the new collections and iconic designs that come to life in the elegant settings of the Atelier in Via Serbelloni and the Store in Via Durini.

With a new look, the Atelier hosts the new collections in an evocative architectural and living dimension to send a message of positivity and restart for Italian design and the city of Milan. The 500-metre space is revealed behind the door of a flat that leads directly into a pleasant Milanese-international atmosphere.

The spaces, which follow one after the other, reveal Giorgetti’s ability to stage true complete environments: the kitchen with dining for the family, the living room, dining for guests with a second living room, the office and sleeping area with dressing room, and the outdoor area.

The second Milanese space is located in an elegant early 20th century building, a stone’s throw from the prestigious Palazzo Durini, and is the renovated Store, organised on two levels that perfectly express the philosophy of the Giorgetti spaces and lifestyle.

The Store’s spaces unfold in a perfect aesthetic balance that reveals a scenario rich in details, in which the furnishing elements create comfortable, soft and elegant atmospheres.

In both spaces, M2Atelier presents the Ensō table, made of wood and available with an elliptical or round top defined by walnut, mahogany, or leather inserts; with the Tie seats whose monolithic presence captures the attention for their details and for the seductive slit on the back that recalls some haute couture creations.

Another protagonist is certainly the new Vesper sofa designed by Roberto Lazzeroni.

It’s a concept, a system. It’s an organic sofa that moves in a certain way within the space, transforming it according to needs“, said the designer. Vesper is presented in combination with Elsa armchairs by M2Atelier.

Among the novelties 2021 present in the Atelier Giorgetti and Store, we find the Houdini cabinet by Roberto Lazzeroni, Shirley bench and mirror by Carlo Colombo, Uyuni mirror and Clamp coffee tables by M2Atelier, Summa and Otto poufs by Giancarlo Bosio and Centro Ricerche Giorgetti. In addition, new proposals from the Atmosphere collection complete the different areas with carpets, chandeliers, vases, accessories and games.

The theme of outdoor life is increasingly important in the Giorgetti lifestyle and this year the company interprets it with a design by Carlo Colombo, whose great stylistic strength blurs the boundary between indoor and outdoor. Aldìa, in fact, is a complete system of furnishings that can be used both indoors and outdoors. Armchairs, modular sofas, poufs and coffee tables are designed to define the space with elegance and give the dream of a small paradise.

Milano Design Week 2021: Paola Lenti brings nature into the home

Paola Lenti

Hanging bookcases, enamelled decorated tables, seats made of innovative polymers or eco-compatible fabrics.

Paola Lenti’s showroom in Meda (via Po 100 A) is completely renovated and opens its doors to the Supersalone, the special edition of Salone del Mobile 2021. An amazing reinterpretation through colours, materials, new collections.

The large spaces overlooking the garden of the location seem to be drawn to allow nature to enter into the house, contaminating with its reflections and its nuances – greens, blues, yellows – furniture and furnishings designed for the interiors, creating a dialogue and a game of windows that breaks down the “walls” between indoor and outdoor.

In Paola Lenti’s mental geography, the home appears as a welcoming and gentle place, lively and open to the outdoors, with a sophisticated elegance, never over the top.

Tradition and research go together and blend with unexpected effects: the texture of the new tables in enamelled volcanic lava, which tell about an ancient wisdom, the pop transparencies of the innovative Twiggy yarn that talk about the new choices of sustainability and respect for the environment.

In the garden that surrounds the showroom, next to iconic pieces of the company such as Harbour, the modular sofa awarded with the Red Dot Award 2021, are the new collections such as Eres: sofas, chaise longue and outdoor beds in natural and eco-friendly fabrics, with soft and restful colours. Easily convertible into indoor complements, with a pleasant cocoon effect.

Giancarlo Morelli, Michelin-one star chef and owner of the Bulk restaurant and the Bulk Mixology Bar in Milan (via Aristotile Fioravanti 4) to furnish the exterior of his restaurant has chosen chairs, tables and sofas by Paola Lenti in different shades and materials, with a fairy-tale effect deliberately contrasting with the “male” sobriety of the interiors.

“A sort of colourful forest that brings back to childhood” explains the chef. “The side that I most feel my own”

Salvioni’s terraces

Three ways to see the terrace, three atmospheres created with different furniture and colours. Paola Lenti illustrates her vision of greenery in the city with an installation in Salvioni’s showroom (via Durini 3 Milan). Three terraces overlooking the inner courtyard of the store, each one level, as if they were coloured snapshots that, going up the beautiful ancient staircase, finally create a panoramic view.

The “garden terrace” on the first floor plays with the green shades: a place sheltered by parasols (Ombra collection) and dedicated to relax (Ami armchairs). A few steps, and a blue oasis appears – a city-graceful style – with cosy armchairs (Nido collection), and glazed tables (Sciara).

On the third floor, where the view extends beyond the roofs, visitors will find the new Eres collection. Designed for outdoor use, but with its natural fabrics and the soothing tones of ecru, sage and dust, it pleasantly creeps into the interior spaces, occupying the volumes with the maxi sofa Frei and the clean lines of Vespucci furniture (armchairs and sofas). A natural chill-out room (raw linen, hemp delavé, bamboo and natural woods characterize the furniture), away from the buzz of the “Supersalone”.
