Paola Lenti celebrates a decade of creativity with Sicilian artist Marella Ferrera during Art Basel Miami 2025

Sikelia – From the Earth of Sicily, Matter Transforms into Art and Design

On December 3, at the Paola Lenti Miami by Casual showroom in Wynwood, the exhibition Sikelia – From the Earth of Sicily, Matter Transforms into Art and Design will open to the public, remaining on view until December 13.

The event celebrates ten years of creative dialogue between Paola Lenti and artist Marella Ferrera a collaboration built on shared experimentation and research around material and colour.

From this partnership was born Sciara, a material made from lava stone and glass fused together through fire: a perfect embodiment of Paola Lenti’s creative philosophy — transforming natural matter into durable design surfaces that reveal the energy and depth of their origin.

Archive, art, and new creations

For this special occasion, Marella Ferrera opens her historical archive, which preserves a unique collection of garments inspired by Sicily. Created between 1993 and 2000, these one-of-a-kind, unconventional pieces transform elements of the Sicilian land into textural and sculptural garments, offering visitors an immersive experience where fashion, art, and design intertwine harmoniously.

The exhibition unfolds among imposing panels clad in new Sciara finishes, created especially to celebrate this important anniversary.

“My collaboration with Paola Lenti,” says Marella Ferrera, “gave me the opportunity to translate my textile vision into living spaces, exploring the vast surfaces of domestic environments and investigating color as I could never have done alone.”

“Mare di Sicilia,” the Special Edition designed to celebrate 10 years of Sciara

Coinciding with the exhibition, Paola Lenti will present a special edition of the Sciara table named Mare di Sicilia: an art piece composed of three three-meter tables joined to form a single surface that evokes the transparencies and colors of the sea surrounding the Aeolian Islands — volcanic lands with almost black, lava-formed seabeds. Like a snorkeling journey, the nine-meter span of the tables reveals — through fused glass — the transparent waters that stir the fine, pale sand typical of the Agrigento coast. Continuing this exploration, one reaches pebble shores where the sea deepens into saturated greens that fade into turquoise and, ultimately, into an increasingly impenetrable blue.

Following the successful collaboration with Muller
Van Severen, the Z24 Books freestanding bookcase is now joined by a new series of chests of drawers. The bookcase, available in two heights, features glossy lacquered metal sides with a distinctive zig-zag pattern and fixed shelves in natural oak, offering a striking contrast of materials and a rhythmic, geometric design. The 2025 additions reinterpret the zig-zag motif horizontally through drawer units in varying sizes, colours, and angles—reinforcing the cohesive identity of the Z24 collection while preserving the uniqueness of each piece.
Christian Woo: Zymmo Collection
Canadian artist Christian Woo makes his debut in the living world with Zymmo, a collection of side tables and poufs. These bold, essential pieces are rooted in the archetypal honesty of form. Devoid of visual or contextual noise, the collection conveys a sense of timeless beauty.

LIFE AT | Move

10 years up and down. Bon anniversaire!
By Cristiana Colli

Movement, shifting while sitting still, a sense of space, and, seen from there, a landscape which changes, taken apart and recomposed, between details and the whole. Move is an invitation, a frame of mind which challenges gravity and the perception of form; it’s a vantagepoint onto the world. Round and welcoming but empty, it’s the embrace of a solid thread that extends, curves, is interwoven, draws near and goes far, turns and returns. Designed to rock, rest, and read, it’s made for an ice-cold vodka, a hot tea, a podcast to listen to facing a bow window. Move has a special story. It comes in just four colours, but it has also been the focus of experimentation with different configurations and finishes for special events, displays, and openings around the world; the solid ash frame, composed of thirty-one pieces which have been hand-lathed and put together, is the result of expert manufacturing capabilities; the seat, in the name of aesthetic versatility and ergonomics, is in fabric or in leather. Envisioned and designed by Rossella Pugliatti, it’s a perfect object, a manifesto, testimony to Giorgetti style and quality around the globe. Move is an icon of Italian design.

EVENTS | New dresses that breathe with the landscape, shaping a new outdoor experience

As the warm season approaches, the window display of Giorgetti’s Milanese house is renewed with a setting that celebrates the art of outdoor living and introduces the new mood boards for outdoor fabrics. The concept is inspired by Italian Gardens, places of tranquillity and harmony designed for summer leisure and dialogue with nature.
Among the protagonists of the new proposal is white, interpreted in various shades and used for the Moorea outdoor sofa and cushions, as well as for the Aldìa armchairs. A three-dimensional dialogue unfolds with the stones, evoking the rizzata – the traditional stone paving of Italian church forecourts – and the nymphaea of the Visconti Villas, conceived to provide coolness during the hottest months.
In contrast with the lighter tones, brick emerges, inspired by Cocciopesto, a material rooted in the Italian building tradition.
This hue dominates the scene, characterising the sofa, sunbed and cushions of the Moorea outdoor collection, together with the Nisida rug and maxi cushions.
Enhancing the scene are a stone frog, recalling the aesthetics of historic Italian fountains, and a neoclassical vase. These details coexist with magnolia leaves, a tribute to Renaissance gardens and to the sound of water as an element of well-being and contemplation

The renewed window displays of Spiga – The Place thus become a visual narrative: a peaceful summer retreat where one can unwind and cool off, and an ideal setting for presenting Giorgetti’s new outdoor fabrics, designed to bring timeless elegance to outdoor spaces.

ADA 2025: Jeanette and Frank take home the awards

Meridiani continues to stand out “twice over” at the Archiproducts Design Awards. After 2024, which saw the Vetra storage unit and the Vincent Open Air sofa being recognized, this year it is the Jeanette loveseat and the Frank low table (2025 collection), both designed by Andrea Parisio, that take the prize in the Contract and Furniture categories, respectively.

Jeanette embodies the perfect balance between comfort and organic shapes, shining aesthetically while remaining deeply functional. Frank, on the other hand, expresses a concept of pure material design, where clean lines highlight its structure and enhance its solid character.
This double achievement once again highlights the brand’s DNA: creating products designed for contemporary living, capable of transforming any space into a stylish setting – distinctive, sophisticated, and made to be used every day.

The tenth edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards, with an international jury composed of leading figures in contemporary design and architecture, also in 2025 confirms and recognizes the design and interpretative excellence of Meridiani – a brand that excels both in residential and contract settings, bringing its distinctive identity to increasingly broad and diverse contexts.

A New Location for Paola Lenti Tokyo

Paola Lenti Tokyo flagship store relocated from Hiroo residential district to Azabudai Hills, the most sustainable and avant-garde area in downtown Tokyo. The store, opened in collaboration with Atlantic Cars Ltd, the exclusive distributor of the brand in Japan, unfolds on a single level and directly overlooks Azabudai Hills. This new urban village, designed by Heatherwick Studio, represents the pinnacle of a 30-year regeneration plan aimed at creating one of the largest green areas in the city.

Azabudai Hills district hosts the largest international school in Tokyo, along with temples, art galleries, offices, and restaurants: an extraordinary “three-dimensional landscape” where futuristic structural forms become a network that bridles residential glazed buildings and commercial spaces, echoing that typical architectural crowding of Tokyo where old and new architectures, large and small, are leaning against each other. The whole surrounded by almost 3 hectares of green spaces, rich in trees, flowers and fountains.

Seamlessly integrated into the Japanese style – resonating with us in the appreciation for aesthetics and dedication to traditional craftsmanship – the new flagship store offers a comprehensive overview of the company’s furnishings for both indoor and outdoor and was conceived to closely collaborates with architects and interior designers, providing custom services.

The neutral shades of white and beige chosen for the walls and flooring enhance the bold colours for which Paola Lenti is globally renowned. The turquoise-green surfaces of the lava and glass Sciara tables, the solar yellow of the Welcome sofa, and the vibrant pink of the Adagio suspended seat create a pleasing contrast with the intentionally essential architecture of the space. Inaugurated on Friday, February 9th, with an event dedicated to the world of design and architecture, the showroom is officially open to the public from Saturday, February 10th, 2024, every day from 11 am to 6 pm, excluding Wednesdays.

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Giorgetti is expanding its international presence with several new showrooms that offer a complete immersion into the world of Giorgetti and an opportunity to experience the Group’s unique approach to design.

Weeks after inaugurating an innovative showroom concept in Milan with “Giorgetti Spiga – The Place”, Giorgetti turns its attention to the heart of the Big Apple. During NYCxDesign–the most important US event dedicated to design running from May 18th to 25th–Giorgetti unveils a spectacular new 11,000 square feet Penthouse Atelier in the heart of Manhattan.

A vibrant, pulsating metropolis where everything happens, New York represents a major milestone for Giorgetti. This new monobrand will join those already existing in Boston, Houston and Los Angeles, and, in 2023, will be joined by two more opening in Miami and Washington DC. This significant expansion brings to fruition an important development strategy for the North American market, which has proven itself to be extremely receptive to the high quality of Made in Italy design.

“In recent years we’ve decided to invest in spaces that allow us to communicate to the market the enormous capabilities of ‘using Giorgetti’: the creation of products that combine beauty and functionality – the result of unyielding research on finishes, shapes and colours – as an essential tool to deliver the design and creation of 360° interior proposals. New York is the epicenter of art and creation: culinary and shopping capital, cradle of fashion and trends, New York has something irresistible for everyone. Opening in one of the most important cities in the USA, and the world, is not only a fundamental step on our path of international growth, but it is the natural answer to our desire to intercept and influence new trends and ideas.” Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO Gruppo Giorgetti

“The Group’s American mission is to communicate the company’s know-how in the management of projects at any scale, hospitality or residential, while conveying the ‘Giorgetti style’ which represents centuries of tradition and craftsmanship, a culture of manufacturing and design identity. Through these strengths, we intend to consolidate our market positioning.” Moreno Vitaloni, CEO Giorgetti USA

Giorgetti opens its new space in Milan in March 2023
Uniting memory and its vision for the future, the Giorgetti Group is celebrating its 125th anniversary by setting out on a new adventure in one of the most sophisticated neighbourhoods of Milan, at 31 Via della Spiga.

Giorgetti Spiga is The Place, the new house of Giorgetti where, in-line with the development strategy that it adopted some time ago, the brand is expressed at the highest level in all facets of customised design: from sartorial details on products to near-obsessive interior design.
The Place is also a space for design experience and research in the broadest sense of the terms, through interference with art, music, food and, more generally, with everything that contributes to an experience linked to beauty: this is the best gift we could give ourselves to celebrate our one hundred and twenty-fifth birthday.”

Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO of the Giorgetti Group

Giorgetti opens its new space in Milan in March 2023

Giorgetti Spiga – The Place is the outcome of the overarching project by Giancarlo Bosio, who curated every last detail: nothing was left to chance, no matter how small or large. From the unique finish of the marble that covers the stairs, to the millwork, and even the floors which combine stone, marble and custom-made parquet, a tribute to the carpentry traditions of the brand and invaluable heritage.

A project that demonstrates the ability of the Group to go beyond designing single objects, expanding to the entire context, thinking about and designing the space.

It’s a mission that is recounted through a sensory experience in the Giorgetti world, in a place where the company articulates its design culture through various inhabited areas, surrounded by beauty and art, with pieces from Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery and Brun Fine Art & Antiques Gallery.
